First off I would like to say how I have been a super bad blogger and not updating you on my journey. I have fallen off the wagon a little no hard!!! I’ve been tracking but I have been eating what I’ve wanted with little to know exercise. I have let my husband buy fast food, ice cream etc and I ate it without a care. So I promise from here on out starting today I will get my Sh*t together. Hopefully By the end of summer I will be 10-15 pounds lighter. Hopefully
April Foodie Pen Pal
I totally feel the need to show you every single thing she sent me because they were all delicious and I cant leave anything out

Fiberful Granola Bars .These were AMAZING. They are great crumbled up and topped on some greek yogurt. Great when paired with Chobani Strawberry Greek Yogurt

Can I say I love Granola. Toni could have just sent this along with a card and I would have been a happy camper.I eat granola out of the bag lol. I need to find a wholesome recipe to make my own granola at home. Also the best part about this granola is that it's only 115 calories or 1/3 cup.

More Granola
I haven't tried this one yet but since it contains 13 grams of protien. I will put this in my workout bag and eat it after my workout.

You may not be able to see these but these are fruit bars. These are great on the go when I'm in the grocery store and I want something sweet. My son LOVES them. He kept asking me for more
Also there was a Cherry Pie LARABAR shown in the picture above but since I was so hungry when we came home I ate it after I snapped a group shot picture of all the snacks
I really enjoyed this round of Foodie Pen Pals. I can’t wait for next month. If you are interested in particiapating in the program you can click HERE and Lindsay from The Lean Green Bean goes through everything you need to know.

My Top Ten Favorite Children’s books that I enjoy reading to my son

My Son reading one of his favorite books he got for his 1st birthday "Curious George goes to the library" He was pointing to "George" and the pictures of the books inside of the books
It’s no secret that my son LOVES his books or anything that you can read to him. I started reading to him in the womb when my doctor told me the interesting fact that he can hear everything that was going around me. My first story I read to him was a Dr. Seuss book. I noticed immediately which books he did not like by the way he would kick me. The kicking would stop with a book he liked. I try to read all of his books with feeling and emotion. So fast forward to now my son loves his books I have to read my two-year old 3-4 books at bed time. When I ask him to pick one book he gets 3-4. I honestly don’t mind because reading puts the “FUN” in FUNdamental and it builds literacy, imagination and a love for books in the future. In my opinion I honestly think that every child should be introduced to reading.
My Favorite Children’s Books
- Chicka Chicka 1,2,3- My son loves this book with all his heart. He loves to count along with me and with the help of this book he loves his numbers. When he jumps off things he says” 1,2,5,8 jump” so cute
- Leap Frog Good Night Scout- I love this book because it helps my son get ready for bed time routines and it read the words on the page as you flip throught the book.
- George Goes Fishing- My son just loves anything Curious George
- Love You Forever-This book makes me cry every time I read it.
- Good Night Moon-My son loves this book he likes to say good night to all of the pictures in the book
- Hop on Pop-This was my favorite Dr. Suess book when I was a child so I shared my love of this book with my son.
- Kids Study Bible-When my son moved over to the toddler nursery in church they brought home these little story cards about the lesson or chapter they learned about and ever since then my son has been obsessed with Jesus. So we started reading him the bible and he loves it
- Curious George Good Night Book-Great night time routine at the end we say ” Good Night George
- Chicka Chicka Boom Boom-We love our letters. My son gets so excited when he see and recognizes the letter “A”

We Brought A Zoo
Ha ha ha ha ha well not really but we did visit one. On Wednesday my son’s speech class went on a field trip to The Baltimore Zoo. I hadn’t been to the zoo since I was in elementary school and this was my son’s first trip so this was an extra special trip for us. I was expecting it to be really sunny since the previous days were HOT but Wednesday it was rainy and cold. We made the best of it and made some pretty awesome memories there. Here are some pictures from our zoo trip.
When I asked my son what animals he wanted to see at the zoo he said “George” as in Curious George so here some pictures of him seeing “George” for the first time.
We had a great time at the zoo. Cant wait to go back again
My Fitness Bucket List
I have thought about writing this post for a very long time in fact it’s been in my drafts for a few months. I rarely try new things with fitness. It’s normally my same routine or I always say: “When I lose a few more pounds I can do it” or “I’ll be the only fat person in the class”. So today is the day that I stop making excuses for myself, step out of my comfort zone and JUST DO IT because look at the people on last seasons biggest loser and they ran a freaking marathon in the desert for crying out loud. So today is the day I make a bucket list and accomplish those things I want to do no matter if I’m the fattest person in the room. I’m going to do what I set out to do NO MATTER WHAT. So here goes nothing:
1. Try a pilates class at the gym or either in a studio
2. Take a hot yoga class at the gym or in a studio
3. Go find a nice hiking trail and go hiking
4. Go Rock Climbing
5. Run a 5k in under 28 mins
6.Run a half marathon
7. Become a group fitness instructor
8. Enjoy exercising
9. Make it through the entire Bob Harper‘s Yoga for the warrior dvd
10. Try a spin class
This is my fitness bucket list now it’s your turn to tell me what’s on your bucket list?
Who stays inside on a beautiful day?
*****THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE YESTERDAY’S POST BUT I FORGOT TO PUBLISH IT****
Not I. I dislike when people choose to stay inside and when there is so much to do outside and they are the main ones saying ” It’s such a nice day outside and there is nothing to do” HELLO, Yes there is just look around. Yesterday the sun was out and the weather was warm and my son and I decided to pull out the jogging stroller (but we didn’t use it because my son wanted to run around the trail with me). After we were done getting in my fitness I let him play on the playground for about an hour. This time we actually had the playground to ourselves. Here are some cool pictures and a video:
What do you like to do on beautiful days?
